The earliest version of In Lviv Tours was When In Lviv Tours in 2016. A "coming soon" landing page with a logo went online although if memory serves me correctly, articles about Lviv sightseeing had been written before then, in 2015. Why "when"? Well, I managed a tour operator in Rome at the time and it was called, yes you guessed it, When In Rome Tours! Tours of Lviv were drafted in 2018 and 2019 but nothing concrete and there was no website to speak of, nor any connection to war or our veterans.

 When russia invaded Ukraine in February, 2022, a Lviv tours website was the last thing on my mind until July, 2023 when the death of a friend, a soldier, reminded me that tourism in Ukraine can become a force for good in the face of russian terror.

 Pre-war tours and activities with an itinerary were curated in 2021 but not published. They haven't changed at all since then but are now guided by veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. New tours are also guided by veterans, but the itinerary of each is unique every time, decided by the veteran with whom you will tour. My Ukraine War Tours are a reaction against Ukrainian tour operators that profiteer from war, a direct way for you and I to prioritize support for our military technology developers.

 In Lviv Tours is a tour operator, but absolutely different than every other tour operator in Ukraine. Different ideas, different values. My veteran guides, professional guides and translators look forward to meeting you here in Lviv or elsewhere in the remarkable country that is Ukraine.
